Abstract

This study investigated customer satisfaction in the food service sector in the city of Passos, MG. Using the SERVQUAL tool, we assessed the key aspects that influence customers' perceptions of services provided by food establishments. The results obtained from the analysis of the tables demonstrate the complexity of this sector, where tangible factors, reliability, prompt service delivery, safety, empathy, and food quality play interconnected roles in customer satisfaction. The conducted analyses were compared with the theoretical framework, emphasizing the influence of multiple factors on customer satisfaction, as discussed in the literature. The pursuit of improvements in food services is essential to meet the ever-evolving market demands and provide high-quality experiences to customers. The data obtained in this study serves as a valuable guide for food businesses in Passos, MG, to enhance their services, taking into account customer preferences and perceptions. Therefore, this study contributes to the evolution of the food service sector, playing a crucial role in people's lives, and underscores the importance of continuous improvement and adaptation to market demands.
